Job summary

KH Properties in Overland Park, KS, is seeking a high-capacity Director of Construction Operations to lead renovation execution and capital improvements for a growing multifamily portfolio. You will oversee ~30 professionals, including PMs, procurement, field crews, and subcontractors, and build scalable processes with disciplined execution.

The role reports to the CEO and offers ownership-like leadership, visibility across the organization, and a path to long-term impact through value creation

Qualifications

• Director-level construction leadership experience or equivalent ownership.
• Residential and/or multifamily construction leadership experience preferred.
• Renovation / value-add construction experience strongly preferred.
• Experience leading Project Managers and Site Superintendents.
• Budgeting / estimating leadership experience.
• Subcontractor and labor management experience.
• Process improvement / systems implementation experience.
• Strong communication and executive presence.
• Leadership maturity and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee renovation projects and capital improvement initiatives.
• Lead a team of approximately 30 professionals including PMs, procurement, field crews, and subcontractors.
• Build scalable construction processes and reporting discipline.
• Ensure projects are completed within budget and schedule.
• Partner with ownership and senior leadership to drive long-term value.
