MatchBuilt is seeking a Director of Construction to lead the Northeast Florida division, overseeing multiple luxury communities with a strong focus on on-site construction, safety, and client satisfaction. The role reports to the VP of Construction and drives execution across starts, closings, and budgets.

You will hire and mentor project managers, ensure schedule discipline, and coordinate with land development and preconstruction to maintain a steady production flow in a high-end market.

Formación

• 10+ years of residential construction leadership experience.
• Proven success in leading project managers and field teams.
• Strong financial acumen with budgets and margin management.
• Knowledge of Florida Building Code and coastal/high-wind requirements.
• Experience partnering with land development, preconstruction, and purchasing.
• Buildertrend experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, assign, and hold accountable the division’s Project Managers and construction personnel; conduct regular reviews.
• Translate the operating plan into project-level execution: starts, sequencing, staffing, trade capacity, completion targets.
• Run monthly financial reviews: margin, budget vs actual, cost-to-complete, change orders.
• Approve invoices, draw packages, and change orders within delegated authority.
• Partner with land development on build-ready handoffs and site readiness before vertical construction.
• Collaborate with preconstruction for constructability input and start readiness for new communities.
• Enforce schedule discipline with baseline schedules and weekly look-aheads.
• Ensure quality and safety per Florida Building Code and coastal/high-wind standards.
• Set homebuyer communication standards and manage turnover planning when needed.
• Maintain the construction management platform as system of record.
