Job summary

Trueline Talent’s client is a boutique luxury residential builder seeking a Director of Residential Construction to lead field operations in Boca Raton, FL. This hands-on leader will mentor field staff, coordinate with PMs, architects, and vendors, and drive project success on multiple luxury homes and high-end renovations.

The role requires deep experience in luxury construction, strong leadership, and exceptional communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in luxury residential construction, high-end renovations, or similar markets.
• Proven ability to lead field teams and coordinate with PMs, architects, and subs.
• Strong reading of complex plans and specifications to prevent issues.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations across luxury custom homes and renovations.
• Mentor Field Superintendents and support PMs.
• Serve as primary field leadership with clients, architects, subs.
• Fill in for Field Superintendents to keep projects moving.
• Coordinate communication and drive accountability across projects.
• Review plans and documents to identify issues early.
• Oversee QC, safety, inspections, punch lists, closeout.
• Coordinate service/warranty work and client relationships.
• Support bidding, constructability reviews, planning.
• Conduct owner walkthroughs and oversee move-ins.
• Facilitate field-office coordination for efficiency.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to high-performance culture.

Trueline's client, a boutique luxury residential builder with a long-standing reputation for craftsmanship, service, and attention to detail, is seeking a Director of Residential Construction to join their team in Boca Raton, Florida. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a construction professional who thrives in the field, enjoys solving complex challenges, and wants a clear path toward senior leadership and eventual business succession.

What You'll Do as the Director of Residential Construction:

• Lead and support field operations across luxury custom home construction and high-end renovation projects
• Manage and mentor Field Superintendents while serving as a resource for Project Managers and office staff
• Act as the primary field leadership presence for clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, and vendors
• Fill in for Field Superintendents when needed to keep projects moving forward
• Solve field challenges, coordinate communication, and drive accountability across multiple active projects
• Review plans, specifications, and project documentation to identify issues before they impact construction
• Oversee quality control, safety compliance, inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities
• Coordinate service and warranty work for completed projects while maintaining exceptional client relationships
• Support bidding efforts, constructability reviews, and project planning activities
• Conduct owner walkthroughs and oversee move-in operations
• Facilitate communication between field and office teams to improve efficiency and project execution
• Attend regular team meetings and contribute to a collaborative, high-performance culture

Must-Haves as the Director of Residential Construction:

• Experience in luxury residential construction, custom homes, high-end renovations, or a closely related market
• Background as a Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, Project Manager, or similar construction leadership role
• Strong understanding of residential construction means, methods, sequencing, and best practices
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and interior design plans
• Proven experience managing subcontractors, schedules, quality control, and client relationships
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in the field
• Comfort using construction software, project management tools, and technology platforms
• Professional presence with high-net-worth clientele

Nice-to-Haves as the Director of Residential Construction:

• Experience building luxury custom homes in South Florida
• Knowledge of both ground-up construction and large-scale renovation projects
• Experience creating or maintaining CPM schedules
• Previous responsibility for supervising multiple Superintendents or project teams
• Desire to grow into executive leadership and long-term business succession opportunities

Our Client Offers:

• Base salary of $125,000-$150,000 depending on experience
• Performance-based bonus opportunity of approximately $25,000-$30,000+
