Job summary

Cohere is seeking an Executive Director to lead Community Life at Mariposa in Rio Rancho, NM. You will partner with residents, boards, and developers to guide operations, governance, and programs for 900–1,000 homes.

We value collaborative leadership, strong financial stewardship, and building trust across diverse stakeholders. Excellent communication and team development are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience leading, coaching, mentoring, developing, and evaluating Directors, Managers, supervisors, or other professional staff.
• Significant senior leadership experience in community operations, governance, or nonprofit management.
• Experience with large-scale master-planned communities is strongly preferred.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting and reporting to boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Community operations, governance, resident engagement, communications, amenities, facilities, and programs.
• Develop and execute strategic priorities for current needs and long-term growth.
• Balance day-to-day operations with larger initiatives and projects.
• Build trusted relationships with residents, board members, developer partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Create an environment that motivates teams and supports professional development.
