Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking a senior procurement leader to drive strategic sourcing, hedge commodity risk, and manage direct material procurement across plants. You will oversee SAP contracting, master data integrity, and governance to ensure supply continuity and cost efficiency.

The role requires 10+ years in procurement, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of category strategies and supplier negotiations in the bakery/food sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategy & Category Leadership: develop and approve category strategies for multiple commodity categories and align with business priorities.
• Commodity Risk Management & Hedging: manage commodity risk program and hedging activities across markets.
• Sourcing, Negotiation & Supplier Management: lead strategic supplier negotiations and ensure risk terms and continuity.
• Financial Planning & Cost Management: own commodity cost assumptions for planning and monitor savings and productivity.
• Direct Procure-to-Pay, SAP & Governance: oversee SAP contract entry, master data integrity, and SOX controls.
• People Leadership & Team Development: hire and develop a team of category managers and SAP contracting leads.
• General: lead cross-functional projects and uphold ethics and company policies.
