Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking a senior procurement leader to run the Commodities tower, overseeing direct-material sourcing, risk management, and SAP-based contracting.

You will direct category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive productivity across plants and new product initiatives. The role requires 10+ years in procurement, expertise in hedging and cost optimization, and the ability to influence senior leaders across Operations, Finance, Legal, and Quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Advanced degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing across commodity categories and align with bakery operations and corporate objectives.
• Own commodity risk management program, set coverage strategy, and hedge using futures, options, or forward contracts.
• Oversee supplier contract negotiations, drive total cost of ownership improvements, and ensure food-safety terms.
• Own commodity cost assumptions for annual planning, tracking savings, coverage, and service metrics.
• Provide leadership for Direct P2P with SAP contract entry, Master Data integrity, and SOX controls.
• Hire, develop, and lead a team of category managers and SAP contracting professionals.
• Lead cross-functional projects and uphold company policies and ethical standards.
