Job summary

Gusto is building its own P&C insurance agency and growing the licensed servicing team that supports endorsements, renewals, claims, and carrier relations. You will hire, coach, and scale the team, ensure service quality and compliance, and participate hands-on in critical client interactions.

The role emphasizes developing scalable processes, embracing AI tools in daily work, and collaborating with product and engineering to deliver efficient, accurate service across the business insurance book.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial lines service experience with supervision/leadership experience.
• Experience working with carrier portals and managing carrier relationships.
• AI and automation fluency in service delivery and process improvement.
• Strong compliance instincts for licensed staff and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Hire, onboard, and lead a small team of licensed account managers with clear service standards.
• Own SLA, endorsement cycle times, and client satisfaction metrics for the book.
• Handle escalations and complex coverage disputes.
• Own carrier relationships, paperwork, and escalation channels; partner with product/engineering on automation.
• Convert manual tasks into product requirements and drive AI-enabled improvements.
• Maintain compliance documentation and continuing education tracking.
• Coach team through regular 1:1s and plan hiring aligned to growth.
