Job summary

Viridian Therapeutics, Inc. seeks a Senior Director, Clinical Operations Strategy to drive operational excellence and strategic execution across Clinical Operations. Reporting to the Vice President, this role partners with leadership to shape workforce planning, governance, and cross-functional alignment.

The position may be based at our Waltham, MA headquarters in a hybrid setup or be fully remote, with travel to headquarters up to 25% as needed for meetings and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Medical Device, and/or CRO industries.
• Demonstrated experience leading organizational initiatives, workforce planning, business operations, and strategic planning.
• Experience developing and implementing organizational processes, metrics, KPIs, and performance management systems.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders on organizational planning and change management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Vice President, Clinical Operations to set priorities and strategic plans.
• Lead workforce planning, organizational design, and capacity management for portfolio needs.
• Develop and maintain Clinical Operations metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to measure performance.
• Lead annual planning activities including budget and headcount planning.
• Drive hiring strategy and workforce development across Clinical Operations.
• Mentor and develop Clinical Operations personnel and leaders.
• Drive process improvement and operational excellence to improve scalability and accountability.
