Job summary

Viridian Therapeutics, Inc. seeks an Associate Director, Patient Services Operations to drive operational excellence across patient services programs for existing and future product launches.

You will oversee hub operations, patient access liaison and case manager workflows, SOPs, and affordability programs to reduce access barriers. The role reports to the Director of Patient Services and can be based in Waltham, MA or fully remote; on-site 3 days/week for Waltham staff.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals/biotech, healthcare operations, patient support services, or access/reimbursement.
• Experience managing patient support programs and external hub or patient services partners.
• Experience working with matrix partnerships with PALs, Case Managers, and Sales Teams.
• Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Deep knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in patient services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to align and influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into operational plans and lead complex initiatives.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and optimization of all patient services programs for existing and future product launches.
• Manage strategic relationships with ViridianCares partners and ensure strong day-to-day partnership.
• Escalate risks, opportunities, and strategic decisions to the Director of Patient Services.
• Coordinate across the VRDN PAL team, Patient Services Operations, and key partners to ensure seamless program execution.
• Review and resolve complex patient access cases and escalations.
• Establish and maintain case triage processes, service-level expectations, and quality standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and workflow efficiency.
