Job summary

Orum Therapeutics is seeking a chemistry leader to head the Chemistry function, encompassing synthetic organic chemistry, bioconjugation, and analytical chemistry. You will guide a team of ~10 scientists across US and Korea, setting strategic direction for the chemistry platform and serving as a key scientific partner to the CSO and broader R&D organization.

The role requires strong medicinal chemistry leadership with ADC or degrader-conjugate payload discovery experience, and a track record

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or related field, with 5–10 years leadership experience.
• Direct ADC or degrader/antibody-conjugate chemistry experience is required.
• Proven ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams across chemistry disciplines and functions.

Responsibilities

• Own strategic and scientific direction for the chemistry organization spanning multiple sub-disciplines.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership in medicinal chemistry and conjugation.
• Lead and mentor ~10 scientists across US and Korea sites.
• Partner with CMC, Biology, Clinical, BD, IP, and Project Management to align milestones.
• Represent chemistry in reviews and external scientific discussions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI tools for chemistry applicability.
• Coordinate chemistry strategy across US and Korea sites to maintain consistency.
• Foster a democratic, transparent team environment and encourage diverse input.
