Aramark seeks a Director of Operations, Catering & Events for the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC—a high-volume, catering-first operation. You will lead the Catering and Retail directors, oversee end-to-end events, and manage the P&L for multiple concurrent functions.

The role requires proven union experience, vision to build strong teams, and a flexible show calendar. Relocation assistance may be available and a $5,000 sign-on bonus applies.

Competenze

• Experience leading catering and banquet operations at high-volume venues.
• Must have prior union property experience handling grievances and employee relations.
• Experience managing end-to-end events serving thousands of guests.
• Ability to lead through other managers and drive accountability.
• Experience owning a department budget with full P&L accountability.
• Flexible availability to support an event-driven show calendar.

Mansioni

• Oversee end-to-end execution of catered events across multiple spaces.
• Develop and mentor the Catering Director and Retail Director.
• Create labor plans aligned with the show calendar and manage union staff.
• Coordinate with Culinary, Sales, and venue services to align menus and staffing.
• Manage operation P&L and explain variances with specifics.
• Handle day-to-day union grievances and maintain relations.
• Serve as senior client contact during high-profile events.
• Ensure compliance with Aramark standards and safety policies.
