Job summary

Legends Global | Huntington Place, Detroit, seeks a Director of Capital Projects to lead planning, development, and execution of large-scale expansions, renovations, and infrastructure improvements across the convention center campus.

You will oversee the full lifecycle from planning to closeout, align investments with guest experience and asset value, and manage a team including Construction Project Manager, Accounting Manager, and Assistant Project Engineer, ensuring on-time, on-budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 10+ years' experience in construction/capital projects.
• 5+ years of leadership managing teams and stakeholders.
• Experience with large-scale capital programs and complex budgets.
• Experience coordinating in occupied or active facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop capital program priorities, scopes, and schedules for expansions and renovations.
• Lead multiple complex projects through design, construction, and closeout.
• Manage consultants, contractors, and external partners.
• Develop and manage capital budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with executives and boards for approvals.
• Minimize disruption to ongoing events during construction.
