Job summary

Ellaway Blues Consulting seeks an experienced Director of Design & Drafting to lead a CAD team supporting engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain within a fast-paced energy solutions environment based in Missouri.

The role centers on CAD leadership, configuration management, and compliant drawings using Creo and Windchill, with responsibility for BOMs, ECRNs, NCRs, and cross-functional collaboration. US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Proven CAD and configuration management experience in manufacturing/engineering.
• Proficiency with Creo, SolidWorks, and Windchill PLM/PDM systems.
• Strong BOM management and engineering change process knowledge.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
• Must be fluent in English; U.S. work authorization (no visa sponsorship).
• Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate CAD activities for complex rotating equipment.
• Oversee creation, modification, and management of models and drawings using Creo and Windchill PLM/PDM.
• Ensure CAD designs comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage Bills of Material (BOMs) to align with engineering specifications, manufacturing requirements, and quality standards.
• Support Engineering Change Requests and Notices (ECRNs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) from creation through execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality.
• Provide leadership, technical guidance, and mentoring to CAD team members.
