Job summary

Ellaway Blues Consulting is seeking an experienced Director of Design & Drafting to lead a CAD team and drive excellence in drafting, BOM management, and configuration control. You will oversee models and drawings using Creo, SolidWorks, and Windchill PLM/PDM, while ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven CAD and configuration management experience in a manufacturing/engineering setting.
• Proficiency with Creo, SolidWorks, and Windchill PLM/PDM systems.
• Strong BOM management and engineering change process knowledge.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• U.S. work authorization (no visa sponsorship).
• Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate CAD activities for complex rotating equipment.
• Oversee creation, modification, and management of models and drawings using Creo and Windchill PLM/PDM.
• Ensure CAD designs meet industry standards, company guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage Bills of Material (BOMs) to align with engineering specifications and manufacturing needs.
• Support Engineering Change Requests and NCRs from creation through execution.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
• Provide leadership, technical guidance, and mentoring to CAD team members.
