Job summary

Seec Corporation is hiring a Director of Communications and Development in Silver Spring, MD to lead strategic communications and fundraising efforts for a nonprofit focused on developmental disabilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in communications, development, fundraising, marketing, public relations, stakeholder engagement, or related nonprofit leadership function.
• Experience translating organizational priorities into measurable departmental goals and outcomes.
• Experience leading resource development strategies including fundraising, donor engagement, grants, sponsorships, and foundations.
• Experience developing organizational communications strategies across internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate an integrated Communications and Development strategy aligned with SEEC’s mission and brand.
• Lead fundraising strategies, donor development, grant development, and sponsorship opportunities.
• Oversee internal and external communications, newsletters, social media, and website content.
• Build and manage a high-performing Communications and Development team with clear roles and performance expectations.
• Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to measure performance and impact.
