Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in Phoenix seeks a Director of Maintenance Strategy & Planning to define the enterprise maintenance strategy for Freeport Americas, balancing asset availability, risk, and lifecycle economics across sites. You will design a centralized planning capability and govern standards for multiple asset types.

The role requires 15+ years of maintenance leadership, deep CMMS and reliability engineering expertise (RCM, FMEA, RCFA), and a proven ability to lead cross-site process changes

Qualifications

• Extensive maintenance experience across fixed plant and heavy mobile equipment.
• Proven ability to design enterprise-scale maintenance processes and standards.
• Experience leading cross-site maintenance strategy implementations.
• Strong knowledge of RCM, FMEA, RCFA and hazard analysis.
• Ability to translate strategy into resource and cost plans.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern the enterprise maintenance strategy across Freeport Americas.
• Lead centralized planning capability and standardize planning methods.
• Align maintenance strategies with capital planning and lifecycle economics.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to translate demand signals for materials and services.
• Coach site leaders, planners, and engineers in maintenance process maturity.
