Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Manager, Applied Science to lead the science organization across the Agentic WorkSpaces portfolio. You will hire, grow, and lead a team of applied scientists shaping how we measure and improve AI agents and human-AI teams at enterprise scale.

You will define the science agenda, set research directions, and partner with engineering and product teams to translate science into production systems while delivering measurable impact for customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of applied science experience with leadership of scientist teams.
• Experience setting research direction across multiple teams and organizations.
• Deep expertise in modern ML, LLMs, and evaluation methodologies.
• Track record delivering complex, ambiguous research from concept to production in enterprise settings.
• Strong ability to translate science into shipped products.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the applied science team across the portfolio and hire top talent.
• Direct the research agenda and create rigorous measurement and benchmarks.
• Identify high-leverage research directions and shape the science roadmap.
• Translate science into production by partnering with engineering, product, and program leaders.
• Represent science in leadership and with enterprise customers on performance and reliability.
• Establish scientific rigor, experimentation standards, and accountability.
