Job summary

Amazon Ads is seeking an Applied Scientist III to set the scientific direction for next‑gen agentic AI applications that guide advertisers. You will own end‑to‑end agentic architecture, define research roadmaps, and deliver customer‑facing products to help advertisers create, optimize, and grow campaigns.

You will mentor scientists, collaborate with product and engineering, and stay hands‑on with core problems, balancing scientific leadership with practical delivery in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building machine learning models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master’s with 6+ years of applied research.
• Experience with Java, C++, Python or related languages.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and ML tools.

Responsibilities

• Define the science vision and translate it into delivery roadmaps.
• Build agentic systems that autonomously manage and optimize ad campaigns.
• Define datasets and signals to train and evaluate agents.
• Write production-quality, critical-path code.
• Own the agentic architecture and drive reliability and trust.
