Job summary

Relativity Applied Science is seeking a senior AI/ML leader to build production‑ready AI systems and guide a team of applied scientists. You will shape architectures, review designs, and partner with product, engineering, design, and legal experts to scale reliable AI across large document sets.

With 6+ years in applied AI/ML and at least 1 year in people leadership, you will own end-to-end readiness, drive rigorous evaluation, and help translate complex technical nuances into decisions

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in computer science or quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years in applied AI/ML, with at least 1 year as a people leader.
• Hands-on experience deploying production AI systems and collaborating with engineering teams.
• Fluency with generative AI as part of larger systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of applied scientists: hire, coach, set direction, and develop people toward their best work.
• Set the technical and scientific bar: shape architectures, review designs and evaluations, and work closely with the team.
• Own AI system readiness end-to-end, from problem framing through evaluation and production monitoring.
• Partner with product, engineering, design, customer-facing teams, and legal experts to scale ideas to production.
• Communicate with precision to leadership and customers; translate technical nuance into actionable decisions.
