Job summary

Sandisk seeks an exceptional Sr. Technologist to lead an AI Systems & Performance Lab in Milpitas, CA. You will set the lab’s technical vision, drive AI workload analysis across diverse hardware, and deliver actionable insights shaping system architecture and silicon direction.

You will mentor a small team, publish thought leadership, and collaborate with hardware and software groups to align performance findings with strategic roadmaps and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, CS, or EE; Master’s/PhD preferred.
• 15+ years in systems engineering, AI infrastructure, or hardware/software co-design.
• Deep hands-on experience with AI workloads including modern frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI Systems & Performance Lab with clear technical vision.
• Drive end-to-end AI workload analysis across models, runtimes, and stacks.
• Develop benchmarking, profiling frameworks and repeatable methodologies.
• Collaborate with hardware, platform, and software teams to influence roadmaps.
• Mentor a small team of engineers and researchers.
