Job summary

Assort Health is seeking a Head of Forward Deployed Engineering to build and lead the team turning our AI agent platform into production systems for large healthcare customers. You’ll own end-to-end technical delivery and collaborate with engineering, product, and customer success.

You’ll scale the FDE org, establish deployment patterns, and drive field-to-product feedback to shape platform features, while staying hands-on when required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years leading customer-facing teams.
• Proven ability to scale deployment or implementation teams in fast-growth B2B/enterprise software.
• Strong fundamentals to design, build, and debug production systems with your team.
• Excellent communicator with stakeholders including healthcare executives.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Scale the Forward Deployed Engineering team, including hiring, coaching, and developing a high-performing organization.
• Own end-to-end technical delivery for our most strategic customers.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into scalable technical solutions and influence product roadmap.
• Establish deployment patterns, best practices, and internal tooling to move faster.
• Drive field-to-product feedback loop to turn patterns into platform features.
• Be hands-on when it matters: lead technical discovery with strategic accounts and debug production issues.
