Job summary

FurtherAI in San Francisco seeks an exceptional engineering leader to own our AI organization—overseeing AI infrastructure, agent intelligence, and agentic products. You will set the technical direction and ensure production-grade systems on real customer money.

You’ll recruit, mentor, and retain a world-class AI team, stay hands-on, and drive architecture and long-running workflows. This founder-led role offers outsized impact, rapid growth, and a chance to shape the future of AI in insurance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading AI/ML teams building production LLM/agent systems.
• Deep hands-on understanding of agentic architectures and multi-agent orchestration.
• Strong technical bar; fluent in code and experiment design.
• Track record hiring and growing leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow the AI org into three teams: AI infrastructure, agent intelligence, and agentic products.
• Set technical direction for production-ready agents used on real customer money.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain world-class AI engineers; hire the team beneath you as the org grows.
• Stay deeply technical and lead by example; contribute to architecture and code.
• Push the frontier of what agents can do for insurance as the field moves forward.
