Job summary

interface.ai, the agentic AI platform for financial services, seeks a Chief Engineer in San Francisco to own a domain end-to-end. You will architect, build, and set the technical bar with your pod, guiding the team through high-ambition development.

You will work alongside founders, drive high-leverage engineering, and push frontier AI usage while delivering real customer impact in a profitable, scale-ready environment.

Qualifications

• Deep AI knowledge and hands-on engineering experience.
• Experience building production-scale AI systems for real users.
• Ability to set technical direction and maintain high-velocity delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own one domain end-to-end and drive architecture and implementation.
• Set and maintain technical standards across domain pods.
• Mentor engineers and leads, grow team capabilities without pure management.
• Deliver measurable outcomes in collaboration with the Domain PM.
• Embed AI development tools as standard practice across the domain.
