Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Leader to oversee disbursement activities, ensure policy-compliant vendor payments, and govern vendor master data in a large healthcare environment.

You will drive ERP utilization (Oracle Cloud), lead automation, strengthen internal controls, and develop a high-performing AP team while partnering with Finance, Compliance, and IT to support regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline required.
• 7+ years of experience in financial disbursements, accounts payable, and/or accounting functions.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience operating within large, complex organizational environments preferred.
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud.
• Experience in a healthcare or highly regulated environment preferred.
• Experience leading or supporting ERP implementations.
• Master’s degree (MBA, Finance, or related field) preferred.
• CPA, CPP, APM, or related certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounts payable and disbursement activities, ensuring timely, accurate, and policy-compliant vendor payments.
• Maintain governance of vendor master data, including onboarding, maintenance, and data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive utilization of ERP systems and financial platforms supporting disbursement operations.
• Lead automation and workflow redesign for a touchless accounts payable environment.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements.
• Partner with Finance and Information Services to modernize systems, tools, and reporting.
• Establish and enhance internal controls across accounts payable and business expense processes.
• Manage access, governance, and protection of sensitive financial and vendor data.
• Identify and mitigate fraud risks.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing accounts payable team.
• Foster accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Provide reporting and insights to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support the Controller with financial analysis, reporting, and special initiatives.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive improvement actions.
• Collaborate across Accounting, Supply Chain, Information Services, and Internal Audit/Compliance.
• Ensure readiness for Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain policies and procedures aligned with regulations and industry best practices.
