The University of Maine at Presque Isle invites applications for the position of Head Men’s Soccer Coach. This 12-month, full-time role reports to the Executive Director of Athletics and Recreation and is responsible for all aspects of leading a competitive NCAA Division III program.

In addition to coaching, the successful candidate will serve as the SAAC Advisor, providing vital mentorship to student-leaders and essential support to the broader Athletics Department.

Job Description

TheUniversity of Maine at Presque Isle invites applications for the position ofHead Men’s Soccer Coach. Reporting to the Executive Director of Athletics and Recreation, this 12-month, full-time role is responsible for all aspects of leading a competitive NCAA Division III program.

In addition to coaching, the successful candidate will serve as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Advisor, providing vital mentorship to student-leaders and essential support to the broader Athletics Department. We are seeking a dynamic, student-centered professional dedicated to excellence in recruitment, retention, academic success, and the holistic development of student-athletes, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.

The salary for this full time on campus position is $47,000.00. The university will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion depending on skills and experience. Additional benefits include medical, retirement, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents. Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in coaching men’s soccer.
• Excellent communication, managerial, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and travel extensively for athletic contests.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the University’s Motor Pool driving requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience at the NCAA level.
• Experience in a collegiate playing environment.
• Familiarity with NCAA Division III rules, standards, and compliance regulations.
• Experience working with student-athletes in an academic or advisory setting.
