Torrey Holistics in McKinney, TX, seeks an experienced Manager of Mechanical Engineering to lead the design of HVAC, plumbing, and cooling systems for modular infrastructure. You will manage a team, perform thermal calculations, and ensure code compliance across projects.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited), 10+ years of experience in modular or offsite manufacturing environments, and an active PE license. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks is essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 10+ years in mechanical engineering, ideally in modular, industrial, or offsite manufacturing environments.
• Active PE license required. Valid Driver's License.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems.
• Ability to lead and mentor teams and establish engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical system design (HVAC, plumbing, cooling, central plants) for offsite-manufactured infrastructure.
• Create 3D models and fabrication packages using Revit, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
• Ensure designs meet building codes (ASHRAE, IPC, IMC, NFPA) and PE sealing standards.
• Partner with Electrical, Structural, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to integrate designs into production.
• Build, mentor, and manage an engineering team; establish standards and scalable processes.
• Conduct field surveys, assess site conditions, and resolve design challenges at construction sites.
