Head Golf Professional

Mission Resort + Club is a beautiful 36-hole resort nestled among the rolling hills of Central Florida. We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and team-oriented Head Golf Professional to lead our day-to-day golf operations and help deliver an exceptional experience for our members, guests, and team members.

Reporting to the Director of Golf, this is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being visible in the operation, building relationships, developing a strong team, and jumping in wherever needed.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily golf and tee sheet operations across our 36 holes, balancing member play, resort guests, tournaments, outings, and other golf activities.
• Maintain and continuously improve operational procedures and service standards to provide a smooth and exceptional golf experience.
• Build strong relationships with members and guests while maintaining a visible and engaged presence throughout the golf operation.
• Coordinate and execute tournaments, member events, outings, and other golf-related functions, including staffing, tee sheets, pairings, rules, scoring, and day-of-event details.
• Hire, train, schedule, coach, and develop golf operations team members in partnership with the Director of Golf.
• Lead by example and foster a culture centered on teamwork, respect, accountability, hospitality, and professional growth.
• Support daily golf shop operations, including sales, member service, merchandising, inventory, and retail activities.
• Partner with the Membership & Retail Specialist to maintain a professional, welcoming, organized, and engaging golf shop.
• Collaborate with the Director of Golf and other resort leaders on operational initiatives, special projects, and resort-wide priorities.

What We're Looking For

• Class A PGA Professional in good standing.
• Previous experience as a Head Golf Professional, Assistant Golf Professional, or in a comparable golf leadership role.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build genuine and lasting relationships with members, guests, and team members.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine passion for golf, hospitality, and creating exceptional member and guest experiences.
• Proficiency with golf computer and web-based systems, including Golf Genius, POS, and tee sheet systems.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods; work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions; bend, reach, lift, carry, and move golf equipment and merchandise; lift up to 50 pounds as needed; and safely operate golf carts and other golf-related equipment.
