Job summary

PERG online is seeking a Director of Golf to lead operations, programs, and guest experiences at a resort setting in Austin, TX. The role oversees golf staff, course setup, events, and coordination with GCM to ensure elite service and tournament readiness.

The Director will manage budgets, policy enforcement, and daily revenue while driving member satisfaction and strategic partnerships within the golf operation.

Qualifications

• Class A PGA certification required.
• Minimum 3 years as Director of Golf or Head Golf Professional.
• Experience with budget planning and staff management.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement, report and analyze the Golf Operation plan including budget and all other golf related financial duties.
• Oversee all golf programs and activities and enforce policies and regulations.
• Coordinate turf care practices and course closures with daily and tournament setup.
• Lead member, guest experiences and events with a focus on service excellence.
• Supervise golf staff, conduct reviews and participate in recruitment and development.

Job description

The Director of Golf is responsible for the coordination, functional management and leadership of the golf operations which include Member & Guest Experience, Club Events, Course Setup, Practice Facility Set Up, and partnering with GCM to ensure an elite golf experience. The Director of Golf will be a supervisor of the Resort Director of Golf, Golf Head Professionals, Tournament Managers, and Assistant Professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Create, implement, report and analyze the Golf Operation plan including budget and all other golf related financial duties
• Establish and enforce golf course policies, rules and regulations
• Oversee all golf programs and activities
• Develop and oversee Omni Cultural pieces for the Golf Operation

• Work closely with the GCM Department to coordinate turf care practices and course closures along with daily and tournament set up

• Work closely with the Club team to ensure all club & special interest group events are executed at a high level with member satisfaction in mind
• Assist with development of Policies and Procedures for the Member Golf Operation

• Assist with planning & coordination of all WGA, MGA/SMGA, and Club events
• Collaborate with Membership team to execute prospect tours & experiences

• Track & manage daily revenue and labor
• Ensure on course member and invited guest satisfaction
• Support the recruitment, coaching and development of golf and PGA professionals throughout all stages of the PGA membership pathway

Job Requirements:

• Class A PGA, minimum of 3 years’ experience as Director of Golf or Head Golf Professional, proficient in Word, Excel, POS, Electronic Tee Sheets, membership experience a plus, great people skills a must.
