Job summary

Knollwood Country Club in West Bloomfield, Michigan, is seeking a Head Golf Professional to lead daily golf operations, tournaments, Golf Shop activities, and staff development. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, member-focused experiences and maintaining the club’s standards.

Ideal candidates are PGA Class A Members with proven leadership, events experience, and proficiency in Golf Genius, Jonas, ForeTees, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage members, guests, and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining high service levels.
• Experience managing day-to-day golf operations and leading a team of golf professionals.

Responsibilities

• Manage club tournament operations using Golf Genius: setup, registration, pairings, scoring, results, and communication.
• Oversee Golf Shop operations including merchandise receiving, member billing, inventory, and presentation standards.
• Direct day-to-day golf operation activities across Golf Shop, outside services, practice facilities, and driving range.
• Plan, promote and execute high-level member events (gents, ladies, club championships, and other events).
• Train, mentor, and develop golf staff including assistants, supervisors, starters, and outside services staff.
• Enforce course policies and safety, pace of play, and member service standards.
• Manage ForeTees tee sheets and Golf Genius tournament software.
• Provide member and guest service with a visible, approachable presence in the operation.
• Collaborate with Director of Golf to align with club standards and vision.
• Provide instruction, junior programs, clinics, club fitting, and player development.
