Job summary

Bass Pro Shops at Big Cedar Lodge seeks a qualified golf operations supervisor to provide technical and managerial oversight of the Pro Shop, snack bar, driving range, and cart fleet. The role focuses on promoting golf through events and instruction, while ensuring smooth operations and excellent guest service.

The position requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent with 3+ years in the field, PGA membership, and a willingness to pursue Class A certification.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience in the field.
• Valid membership in the Professional Golfers Association.
• Work toward Class A certification is desired.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Leads and directs the work of others.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
• Build/maintain brand standard while developing new offerings for guests.
• A safe driving record, and a MO Class E driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and managerial supervision of the Pro Shop, snack bar, driving range, and cart fleet.
• Promote golf by organizing special events and providing golf instruction.
• Promote the standards and techniques of playing and teaching golf and of golf terminology and etiquette.
• Oversee golf-related concessions and retail merchandising.
• Ensure appropriate office procedures, especially cash receipt and accounting.
• Monitor market trends in golf apparel and equipment relevant to the course’s customers.
• Instruct and assist with specialized workshops at various locations as directed by Big Cedar, LLC.
• Lead and train others, directing work through supervisors, and exercise sound judgment.
