Position: Head Cook Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: Restaurant Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Cook to lead our kitchen team. The Head Cook will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and consistency, and overseeing food preparation for our golf course restaurant. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of culinary techniques, and the ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring timely and high-quality food preparation.

Develop and execute seasonal menus, incorporating fresh and locally sourced ingredients.

Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.

Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.

Monitor food inventory levels and coordinate ordering to minimize waste and control costs.

Collaborate with management to create specials and promotional menu items.

Ensure proper portion control, plating, and presentation of all dishes.

Address and resolve any kitchen-related issues to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience as a Head Cook, Sous Chef, or equivalent role.

Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and food preparation.

Ability to manage and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper kitchen sanitation procedures.

Creativity in menu development and presentation.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Education & Experience:

Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of professional cooking experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.

Experience in golf course or resort dining is a plus.
