Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain of On Field Operations to lead execution across the sales floor, coaching teammates and delivering an athlete-first shopping experience. You will manage priorities, ensure strong merchandising, pricing, and customer service while upholding company standards.

In this role you will oversee staffing, scheduling, and training to build a high-performing team, align plans with budgets, and maintain operational excellence across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required
• Previous people leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead execution across the sales floor by ensuring strong merchandising, pricing, and athlete experience in all customer-facing areas.
• As a Team Captain of On Field Operations, you will coach teammates, manage priorities, and deliver a consistent, athlete-first shopping experience.
• Communicate departmental goals and plans to direct reports and assign workload to maximize efficiencies.
• Build and lead a strong team by sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retaining direct reports.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures, and enforce policies and procedures.
