Job summary

Paterson Public Schools seeks coaches for the spring sports season, running March 9, 2027 to June 14, 2027. Applicants must hold a New Jersey Teacher's or Substitute Teacher certificate, be CPR/AED certified, and possess concussion and heat acclimatization certificates.

Coaching experience is preferred but not required; candidates must be available daily during the season. All new coaches will have one year after hiring to complete a Sports First Aid course, and alternatives may be considered by

• Must obtain a "Concussion Awareness and Wellness" certificate or its equivalent, renewed annually
• Must Obtain a "Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness" certificate or it's equivalent, renewed annually.
• All new coaches will have one year after being hired to successfully complete a course in "Sports First Aid".
• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
