Job summary

Snooze Westport in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Head Chef to uphold exceptional quality and the WOW factor in our kitchen. You will lead food purchasing, storage, production, and sanitation while mentoring Snoozers in cooking, plating, and cost control.

Collaborate with Front of House to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. You’ll recruit, train, and schedule staff, manage labor costs, and maintain consistent standards across menus, recipes, and portions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of operations and leadership experience.
• Excellent basic math skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work 50–55 hours per week.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen functions including purchasing, storage, inventory, and sanitation.
• Train Snoozers in cooking methods, plating, and cost control.
• Staff and schedule kitchen to manage labor costs.
• Collaborate with Front of House to ensure seamless service.
• Maintain Snooze quality and safety standards.
• Conduct tastings to ensure consistency.
