Cathedral Ridge, an Episcopal camp and retreat center in the Colorado mountains near Woodland Park, is seeking a hands-on Head Chef. You will plan and cook meals for groups, manage budgets and inventories, and lead a seasonal kitchen team while ensuring safety and dietary requirements are met.

The role requires health code knowledge, ServSafe-type certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days, and flexibility for weekend and summer hours. On-site housing may be available.

Formación

• Experience cooking for groups in camp, retreat centers, schools, restaurants, or high-volume settings.
• Strong food safety practices and the ability to handle allergies/dietary restrictions.
• Comfortable directing a small kitchen team and training seasonal staff.

Responsabilidades

• Plan menus with the Director that are simple, healthy, buffet-style, and seasonally appropriate.
• Cook and serve every meal on schedule for groups ranging from 12 guests to full camps.
• Shop for food and supplies within budget, balancing waste and availability.
• Honor documented allergies and dietary needs from shopping to serving.
• Keep kitchen, storage, and dining areas clean and inspection-ready per health codes.
• Lead and train the kitchen team on shift, including seasonal staff.
• Code and submit receipts promptly and flag equipment needs early.
• Meet weekly with the Director to plan the week ahead and manage guest counts.
