Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience operating a cash register and processing transactions.
• Familiarity with basic retail technology and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service following Lowe’s policies and programs.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying and loading merchandise.
• Answer questions and guide customers through projects when needed.
• Communicate stock, special order, feature benefits, warranty information.
• Coach and train associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds at the register.
• Provide correct monetary change to associates and ensure cash drawer accuracy.
• Bag merchandise, remove security tags, and assist with checkout coverage.
• Prepare register area at shift start/end; verify equipment functionality.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages and record used items accordingly.
• Enter and verify customer orders, print tickets, and sign loading tickets.
