Job summary

Home Depot is seeking a Head Cashier to lead cashiers and ensure fast, friendly service at the checkout area. The role includes expediting price checks, approving POS transactions and maintaining Self-Checkout operations.

The Head Cashier will assist in training Cashiers and provide first-level escalation for customer issues, while upholding store policies and procedures. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Experience in cashiering or customer service roles.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Point of Sale systems and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Process Checkout and/or Return transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area to ensure smooth operation.
• Provide product information and identify selling opportunities for customers.
• Support and coach fellow Front End Associates and participate in cashier training.
• Assist in price checks, approvals for transactions and markdowns where applicable.
