Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Head Cashier to support frontline cashiers and ensure fast, friendly, accurate service at the checkout and self-check areas. The role includes assisting with price checks, POS transactions, returns, and coaching junior cashiers to maintain high standards of service.

The Head Cashier will help supervise front-end associates, participate in training, and use available tools to coach and develop staff, with 1+ year of cashier experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year(s) of cashier experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to assist in coaching and training other front-end associates.
• Familiarity with POS transactions and price checks.

Responsibilities

• Process checkout and/or returns accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor and support Self-Checkout area and price checks.
• Escalate customer issues and provide first-level supervision and coaching to team members.
• Assist in training new cashiers and using tools to develop staff.
