Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Head Cashier to lead customer service at the front end. This role coordinates checkout operations, assists with Self-Checkout, and supports team members with training and guidance to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

The Head Cashier will ensure policy adherence, help minimize shrink, and proactively seek product knowledge to drive selling opportunities. Prior cashier experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Head Cashier preference: 1+ years of cashier experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to assist in supervising and training staff.
• Follows policies to minimize shrink.

Responsibilities

• Process checkout and return transactions accurately.
• Monitor and maintain Self-Checkout area.
• Provide product knowledge and identify selling opportunities.
• Assist in expediting price checks, approving POS transactions and markdowns.
• Escalate issues and train new cashiers.
