Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe's policies and programs
• Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Responds to questions by guiding customers to areas of the store and through projects
• Communicates stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, and warranty information
• Operates a cash register and processes transactions per company guidelines
• Removes security tags, bags merchandise, and assists at checkout
• Monitors cash in drawer and returns, and supports at registers as needed
• Enters and submits customer orders and verifies receipts and loading tickets
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
• Ensures store cleanliness and safety standards
