DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Injury prevention, emergency care, first aid and physical rehabilitation of injuries incurred by Spalding University's intercollegiate athletes.
• Organize and conduct medically prescribed sports rehabilitation and conditioning programs following an injury and be responsible for appropriate organization and implementation of athletic insurance claim paperwork and follow-up as necessary.
• Supervise and participate in the teaching of graduate athletic training students enrolled in an innovative, new entry-level Master of Science Degree Program in Athletic Training.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) and eligible for licensure in the state of Kentucky.
• A master's degree and previous collegiate athletic training experience is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, multitasking, and budget management skills, in addition to knowledge of the NCAA.

INTERRELATIONS

• Ability to effectively communicate with and solve problems for diverse groups, including prospective or current students, fellow counselors and support staff, alumni, and other constituencies.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in an environment characterized by large workloads, deadline pressures and high-performance standards.
