Job summary

Spalding University in Louisville, KY is seeking a full-time Associate Athletic Trainer to coordinate a comprehensive sports medicine program for its athletics department. The role involves injury prevention, emergency care, rehabilitation, and supervision of graduate athletic training students.

Some weekends and travel are required. The ideal candidate will hold NATABOC certification with Kentucky licensure eligibility, a master's degree, and strong communication skills, plus knowledge of NCAA

Qualifications

Certified by NATABOC and eligible for Kentucky licensure.
Master’s degree and collegiate athletic training experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide injury prevention, emergency care, first aid and rehab for varsity athletes.
Coordinate medically prescribed rehab and organize athletic insurance paperwork.
Supervise graduate students in a new MS Athletic Training program.
Communicate with athletes, coaches, families, and physicians; travel and on-call duties.
