Job summary

PUSH, Inc., an equal opportunity employer, is seeking a CDL Directional Drill Operator/Locator in Bloomingdale, MI to install underground fiber and utilities using HDD trenchless methods. You will read prints, steer equipment, and maintain bore profiles while coordinating with the crew.

Ideal candidates have experience with HDD around utilities in rural or urban settings and can train and mentor teammates. This on-site role requires outdoor work and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with Horizontal Directional Drilling around utilities in rural and urban areas.
• Ability to read prints and schematics.
• Ability to train and mentor other team members.

Responsibilities

• Operates HDD equipment for underground cable and utility installation.
• Ensure proper steering based on job prep and projections.
• Operate equipment to align and adjust machinery to meet grade specifications.
• Maintain bore profile plots and provide drilling data to customers.
• Follow safety procedures and attend mandatory safety meetings.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, including routine greasing and minor repairs.
• Read utility locates and coordinate daylighting of facilities.
• Assist with all job tasks and basic labor responsibilities.
• Set up and clean up the work site, including traffic and pedestrian control.
