Job summary

Five Star Infrastructure Services, dBA InterCon Construction, is seeking a skilled utility construction worker in Wisconsin. The role involves assisting on small horizontal directional drilling projects, preparing sites, loading materials, and handling pipe fusion tasks.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, a Class A CDL, and be willing to travel. Physical endurance and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CDL Class A is required.
• Education in Gas and/or Utilities Construction is preferred.
• Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Work on small horizontal directional drilling projects.
• Prepare work site to locate utilities and eliminate possible hazards.
• Load, unload and transport construction materials and tools.
• Hand dig to clear debris for operator.
• Check utilities and clearances.
• Safely and efficiently operate tools and equipment based on job requirements, including locating utilities.
• Fuse and prepare HDPE pipe, assemble fittings and parts to specifications.
• Position, join, align, and seal pipe sections.
• Assist with drilling fluid mixing and clean-up.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of reamers and operate reamers without assistance.
• Assist with job site clean-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
