Job summary

Five Star Infrastructure Services is seeking capable workers for gas utility and fiber installation projects in Wisconsin. Responsibilities include handling HDPE piping, locating utilities, and assisting with drilling operations on small directional drilling jobs.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel. Prior experience in gas mains and fiber optics is preferred; physical stamina is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Education in Gas and/or Utilities Construction preferred.
• Experience with gas mains and/or fiber optic cables preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods.
• Must lift, push, and pull 50 lbs. regularly.

Responsibilities

• Work on small horizontal directional drilling projects.
• Prepare work site to locate utilities and eliminate hazards.
• Load, unload and transport construction materials and tools.
• Hand dig to clear debris for operator.
• Check utilities and clearances.
• Safely operate tools and equipment including locating utilities.
• Fuse and prepare HDPE pipe, assemble fittings and parts to specifications.
• Position, join, align, and seal pipe sections.
• Assist with drilling fluid mixing and clean-up.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of reamers and operate without assistance.
• Assist with job site clean-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
