Job summary

Five Star Infrastructure Services is seeking a field crew member in Wisconsin to work on utility installation projects. This role requires operating tools and drilling-related equipment, preparing sites, and loading materials.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, Class A CDL, and be willing to travel; physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, bend, kneel and stand for long periods; valid driver's license with clean record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Class A CDL required.
• Education in Gas and/or Utilities Construction preferred.
• Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on small horizontal directional drilling projects.
• Prepare work site to locate utilities and eliminate possible hazards.
• Load, unload and transport construction materials and tools.
• Hand dig to clear debris for operator.
• Check utilities and clearances.
• Safely and efficiently operate tools and equipment based on job requirements, including locating utilities.
• Fuse and prepare HDPE pipe, assemble fittings and parts to specifications.
• Position, join, align, and seal pipe sections.
• Assist with drilling fluid mixing and clean-up.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of reamers and operate reamers without assistance.
• Assist with job site clean-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
