Job summary

Five Star Infrastructure Services, dBA InterCon/Five Star Energy Services/M&C Utility is seeking personnel to support small horizontal directional drilling projects and utility work. The role involves site preparation, loading and transporting materials, and operating tools and equipment to locate utilities and ensure safety.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent and a valid Class A CDL, with preferred experience in gas mains or fiber optic installation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Class A CDL required.
• Education in Gas/Utilities Construction preferred.
• Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be willing to travel.
• Capable of bending, kneeling, standing and walking for long periods; able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Work on small horizontal directional drilling projects.
• Prepare work site to locate utilities and eliminate hazards.
• Load, unload and transport construction materials and tools.
• Hand dig to clear debris for operator.
• Check utilities and clearances.
• Safely operate tools and equipment per job requirements, including locating utilities.
• Fuse and prepare HDPE pipe, assemble fittings and parts to specifications.
• Position, join, align, and seal pipe sections.
• Assist with drilling fluid mixing and cleanup.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of reamers and operate reamers without assistance.
• Assist with job site cleanup.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
