Five Star Infrastructure Services, dBA InterCon/Five Star Energy Services/M&C Utility is seeking a field technician to prepare work sites, locate utilities, and install gas mains and related fiber optics. This on-site role requires travel and physical endurance.

You will signal equipment operators, configure pipe routes, and ensure safety during trenching and pipe installation. CDL preferred; HS diploma required; take pride in accuracy and safety.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Willingness to travel.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 pounds regularly.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferred.
• Education in Gas and Utilities Construction preferred.

Aufgaben

• Prepare work site to locate utilities and eliminate hazards.
• Signal operators to facilitate movement or alignment of equipment.
• Load, unload and transport construction materials and tools.
• Configure pipe routes.
• Assemble gas piping and equipment.
• Follow safety standards throughout process, including digging trenches, sliding pipe into trenches, grading trenches, and sealing joints.
• Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels.
• Cover pipes or cable with dirt or other material.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
