Job summary
PRICE ELECTRIC seeks a team-focused Equipment Operator – Utility to support horizontal directional drilling (HDD) projects across Central Iowa. You will plan setups, position bore rigs, operate drilling equipment, and ensure safe, high-quality workmanship while coordinating with crew members.
The role requires HDD experience, CDL, and the ability to work outdoors in all seasons. Price Electric offers weekly wages, comprehensive insurance, PTO, a 401(k) match, and career development opportunities.
Qualifications
- 2+ years HDD Locator or Drill Operator experience preferred.
- Experience operating HDD equipment and tooling.
- Valid Class A CDL; assistance offered to obtain CDL if qualified.
- Ability to operate safely and work in a team in a fast-paced field environment.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specs, and equipment requirements.
- Set up HDD locations and bore rig positioning.
- Operate HDD drilling equipment (Vermeer, Ditch Witch, or similar).
- Locate driller using locating equipment and maintain safe operations.
- Keep jobsites, trucks, and equipment clean and organized.
