Job summary

United Utility Power Services, LLC is seeking an HDD Operator to safely operate horizontal directional drilling equipment and CDL vehicles for underground utilities including electric, fiber, telecommunications, and gas infrastructure. You will execute bore plans, inspect equipment, and support safe job site operations.

Key duties include reviewing bore plans, performing pilot bores, transporting gear, and maintaining a clean, safe worksite while adhering to OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years HDD operating experience preferred.
• Ability to read utility drawings and bore profiles.
• Knowledge of underground utility construction and damage prevention practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate horizontal directional drilling rigs and related equipment.
• Perform pilot bores, reaming operations, and pipe or conduit pullback activities.
• Transport equipment and materials to and from project sites.
• Review bore plans and utility information before beginning work.
• Assist with locating and potholing activities to identify existing utilities.
• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance on drilling equipment.
• Monitor drilling conditions and communicate with the Locator and Foreman.
• Ensure proper setup and breakdown of drilling operations.
• Maintain clean and organized equipment and work areas.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Properly use, store, and handle drilling fluids.
• Assist with restoration and cleanup activities as required.
